The classic job tree from Novice to Transcendent, the four expanded classes, and how job changes work here.
Classes
Classic progression, up to second class and Transcendent. There are no third or fourth classes on this server and there never will be.
Every class keeps its stock Pre-Renewal role and most skills work as they always did, so build guides written for classic Ragnarok still apply. There are documented changes on nearly every class though. See Class Changes for the complete list, official behavior next to ours.
How you get there#
Novice, then first class at job 10, then second class, then Rebirth and the Transcendent version of the same job.
The Job Master at handles every step of it. Walk up the moment you qualify and he changes your job on the spot. There are no job change quests to run.
After Transcendent there is Custom Rebirth, which is our own system and adds up to five prestige cycles on top.
The six classic paths#

What each line does#
Swordman holds the front. High HP, heavy armour, and the job of being the reason nobody else gets hit. Knights hit hardest, Crusaders keep people alive while doing it.
Mage is the glass cannon, and on a 5x server a good Wizard carries an entire levelling party. Sages take the stranger path with elemental endows and spell reflection.
Archer splits into two completely different games. Hunters kill things from a screen away with traps and a falcon. Bards and Dancers barely attack at all and instead make everyone around them significantly better, which is a role you either love or never touch.
Thief strikes first and hardest. Assassins stack damage on two weapons, Rogues steal items monsters were not going to drop and copy skills they were not meant to have.
Merchant runs the economy. Blacksmiths forge, Alchemists brew, and both of them vend. If you want to be rich rather than famous, this is the line.
Acolyte keeps everyone standing, or does not. Priests are the most wanted party member in the game. Monks go the other way and delete single targets with Asura Strike.
The four expanded classes#
These sit outside the classic tree and each has its own rules.

None of them has a Transcendent path, which on most servers leaves them without endgame progression. Here they get their own Custom Rebirth entry instead, so every class can prestige.
The rules on this server#
Second class and Transcendent only. Third and fourth classes are switched off at the Job Master and in the database. They belong to Renewal.
Level 99 base. Job 50 for second classes, job 70 for Transcendent. Reaching 99 still triggers a server-wide announcement, because it still means something.
Your first reset is free. After that the Reset Girl at charges zeny, or takes a Reset Pass from Lydia. Experiment early while it costs nothing, commit once you know what you want.
Platinum skills come free. The Platinum Skill NPC at hands you every quest skill your class can learn, in one click. The skills are the normal ones, you skip the errands.
Rogues and Stalkers get a shortcut. The Plagiarism Master at sets your copied skill directly for 50,000 zeny. Waiting for the right monster to cast the right thing at you is not realistic on a server this size.
