Episode 13.2#

This is the question we get asked most, so here is the exact line.

Everything up to and including Episode 13.2 is in. Rachel and Veins, Moscovia, the Cursed Abbey, Manuk and Splendide, and the two instances that came with 13.2.

Content Episode
Endless Tower 12.1
Cursed Abbey 12.2
Manuk, Splendide, Orc's Memory 13.1
Sealed Shrine, Nidhoggur's Nest 13.2

Nothing past that. El Dicastes, Dewata, Malaya and Eclage are not on the server, and neither are third classes.

One exception in the other direction: Brasilis is open, with its town, its quests and its dungeon. It belongs to a later episode and we kept it because it costs nothing and gives low levels somewhere else to go.

What we kept#

Pre-Renewal formulas, all of them. Stats, skills, gear, damage. No Renewal maths sneaked in through the back door, and no power creep from later episodes.

Every job keeps the role it had, including the awkward ones. A Blacksmith is still a Blacksmith. Individual skills are a different matter, and the full list of what we touched is under Class Changes.

Item progression that means something. Finding a boss card stays a rare event you remember.

Exploration as a real activity. Even fast travel has to be earned on foot before you can use it.

What we changed#

Rates that respect your evening. 5x base and job EXP takes the mandatory AFK grinding out without turning levelling into a formality. You still feel the climb, and you do not need a second job to finish it.

Skills, on almost every class. Stock Pre-Renewal is the baseline and most skills are untouched, but there are real changes, from small fixes to things like Bowling Bash hitting an area. Every exception is listed on Class Changes, official behavior next to ours.

Discovery that pays. The Warper unlock system and the World Explorer achievements both hand you something for going somewhere new.

Comfort where it costs nothing. Free instant healing in every town, a Settings Assistant that remembers what you like, and a Support Terminal so getting help does not mean alt-tabbing out of the game.

Every command for every player from level 1. There is no VIP tier, no donation rank and no shop. See the command list for what you get.

PvP that stays consensual. Cities are safe, @duel works anywhere between two willing players, and the PvP ranking has anti-farming rules so nobody climbs it by killing the same alt forty times.

Why these rates#

5x base and job EXP is the number where levelling still reads as a journey. At 1x most people quit at Job 40. At 20x nothing that happens on the way matters. 5x sits where you can finish a class in a reasonable number of evenings and still remember the maps you did it on.

5x drops with 1x boss and MVP cards is the same idea applied to loot. Everyday gear becomes affordable, so you can afford to try builds. The rarest things in the game keep the weight they had in 2004. The complete table, including what stays at 1x, is on Rates & Mechanics.

Chat channels#

You land in #global and #trade the moment you log in. The rest you join yourself.

Channel Joined automatically What it is for
#global Yes World chat. Everyone online sees it.
#trade Yes Buying and selling across the whole server.
#support No Asking for help without cluttering global.
#ally No Your guild and everyone allied with it.
#map No Everyone standing on the same map as you.

To talk in a channel, start the line with its name.

#global anyone selling a Jur?

@join #support puts you in one and @leave #support takes you back out. Every channel holds you to one message per second, which is there to stop a single person filling the window.

You can run your own as well. @channel covers creating one, setting a password and kicking somebody out of it. Private channels take up to 1000 people. The command list has the full syntax.

Grouping up#

Setting Value
Members per party 12
Level range for even EXP share 15 base levels
Members per guild 16 at the start, 76 with Guild Extension maxed
Allied guilds 3

Even share only works while everyone sits within 15 base levels of each other. A level 60 and a level 80 can play together all day, but they cannot turn even share on, and the EXP goes to whoever did the damage instead. This is why party listings on the Party Finder carry a level bracket.

Individual share ignores the range. Only even share cares.

With item share turned on, the party gets told who picked up what, so nobody has to ask.

Keeping up with changes#

Midgard Herald stands in Prontera at . It carries the latest announcements and runs polls that any player can vote in, so decisions about the server follow what players want.

Patch Notes here on the wiki document every update, with links to whatever changed.

Discord gets the announcements too, plus everything the community wants to argue about.

When something goes wrong#

Stuck inside a wall or in a spot you cannot walk out of, use the Support Terminal in the Prontera Inn at , or type @home from wherever you are.

Found a bug, file a ticket at the same terminal or post it on Discord. Tickets stay in the system until a GM closes them, so nothing gets lost in a chat scroll.

For everything else, the FAQ covers the questions that come up most.
